Day #12 of 30 in 30

Well this one was a rush this morning.  I like to paint the night before so that's it's ready to post in the morning.  But that doesn't always happen.
I've painted a few Ravens and they were sold through my Etsy shop.  I do have one framed in my own place.  Something about these shiny black birds that I like.

  1. He looks like he's in charge! Don't mess with me kind of a guy. We can do this! I need to paint ahead because I'm taking a workshop this week end. Yikes!

  2. I love your raven! Ravens are one of my favorite birds. Whenever I hear one call I have to stop and look for it.

  3. Great bird - very pensive (wonder what he's thinking?) and love the granulating colors.

  5. Sometimes our quick ones turn out to be great. This one is marvelous! I have a thing for ravens and crows and I love how you've captured his personality with the tile of his head.

I'm playing along with the 30 in 30, too. I've been by to your blog a few times, I thought I'd leave a comment this time. Love your paintings.

  6. This is superb. You've captured the 'art' of this bird-I don't know how to say it right....I just love this.
