Quick Sketch

Lately I've been fascinated by these quick sketch projects..
It's not my usual, but I drew a familiar piece that I'd done not long ago.. Very fast and very fun.. so much so that I'm going to do a few subjects that I like in the same technique.
I have 3 exhibits coming up associated with my Art Guild so I'd better get serious..

  1. I like this one very much. Three exhibits coming up. Well as a friend is always telling me "put a wiggle on it". She is always telling me to get with the program. Have a great weekend.

  5. I love this little painting! I'm glad that you do that too: take a break from the big serious piece for the show and do some sketches for fun. I've been doing that this week too, and I'm finding it very rewarding and exciting.

  7. I often think that quick sketches are the best art of all. They are so characterful and fresh. This is no exception - Perfect!

I did something similar a while back and posted it.

  12. I tried a quick sketch in watercolour while out walking. I liked it but would not be brave enough to show. It is nothing like yours.

  13. Hi Barbra. This is great. Loose, free and spontaneous. I love sketches they take away the inhibitions that a more serious structured painting gives us. Good luck with the Exhibits.
