Lately I've been fascinated by these quick sketch projects..
It's not my usual, but I drew a familiar piece that I'd done not long ago.. Very fast and very fun.. so much so that I'm going to do a few subjects that I like in the same technique.
I have 3 exhibits coming up associated with my Art Guild so I'd better get serious..

I like this one very much. Three exhibits coming up. Well as a friend is always telling me "put a wiggle on it". She is always telling me to get with the program. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteLove the freshness and vibrancy of this quick sketch. Good luck with your Guild pieces!
ReplyDeleteIt is a great sketch, BJ! I wish you lots of success on the exhibits!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely lovely, BJ! Great shadows, awesome subject! Exhibition? You go, girl!
ReplyDeleteI love this little painting! I'm glad that you do that too: take a break from the big serious piece for the show and do some sketches for fun. I've been doing that this week too, and I'm finding it very rewarding and exciting.
ReplyDeleteThis is a pretty sketch. Good luck to your upcoming exhibit.
ReplyDeleteI often think that quick sketches are the best art of all. They are so characterful and fresh. This is no exception - Perfect!
ReplyDeleteBJ - for a quick sketch this is mighty good - I love it - you always seem to have great ideas - could you send me some (LOL) xo Debbie
ReplyDeleteBarbra!
ReplyDeleteNice.
Very nice!
I did something similar a while back and posted it.
This is a great sketch. I think it is also a great finished work!
Keep on painting.
Take care.

ReplyDeleteI tried a quick sketch in watercolour while out walking. I liked it but would not be brave enough to show. It is nothing like yours.
ReplyDeleteHi Barbra. This is great. Loose, free and spontaneous. I love sketches they take away the inhibitions that a more serious structured painting gives us. Good luck with the Exhibits.
ReplyDeleteHi BJ,
ReplyDeleteLove your quick sketches as well as well all of your work. Did not know you are also a member of Fine Art America. It's a great site. All the best to you with your up and coming shows.
