This is the latest pencil work that I've done. Since I don't travel much I use Wet Canvas site for inspiration. Great photos sent in by people and copyright free for artists to do 'their thing" . So I did mine with pencil, even though this was a very colorful photo I felt that need to do every detail and I'm pretty pleased with it.
This piece is really lovely, Barbra Joan. You have such a way with pencil. I've labored over my drawings for the past few years, so I cn appreciate your absolute mastery of the medium.

ReplyDeleteI like her eyes, and the overall tone of the painting ... been thinking of doing water color portraits for while ... wet canavas is a good site to look for models !!
ReplyDeleteShe has such regal bearing - you have captured it beautifully...your pencil work is excellent. I also use Wet Canvas because I do not have the means or good health to travel. It is a wonderful treasurehouse for artists.
