Tulip Tree

The Tulip Tree as it's called in Florida.  Others call it a Magnolia , but no matter what you call it, it's beautiful.
Watercolor on Saunders Waterford paper.

It's Her !!!

It's Sunday, and it's Jenny.   Black cats are so hard to photograph and I think this was the only time I was able to see her face. Don't let that mean look in her eyes fool you.
She's such a sweet cat, and wouldn't hurt a bug... I mean she REALLY wouldn't hurt a bug !!! The smallest critter sends her running under a chair.

No Stress, no Strain

As a blogging friend of mine just  reminded me,  working small doesn't take a whole lot of thought. That's exactly all I can do right now .
So even though I've painted this many times I've decided to do another ... No stress, no strain.  Always reminds me of little cottages down in the Keys.
Well maybe the old Florida Keys.  After Hurricane Irma things are very different down there. It's a very fragile and beautiful area that needs a lot of care.
You may hear that our Governor has decided to open the beaches, etc. What is he thinking?  Here in north Florida it's predicted that our peak could be in another couple weeks.  I go by my own rules,   So I've been  home.
Hope you are all well.

A Favorite

This is a small version 8"x10" of a much larger painting of the same subject.  That was sold and I love painting close ups of these
Flamingos.  You don't see them here in north Florida. Mostly they live in South Florida.

Jenny Painting

I've painted my cat Jenny before, and in a similar painting but it is long gone.  So late last night I sat down to do another..
Hope all of my blog friends are well and listening to the rules.
That's what I'm doing,  as I believe right now the only way to not give or get it is to go by the recommendations .  It's all we have until a vaccine is found.
