The Art Journal Obsession

I almost always post pages from my small journal on my other blog, but did a few more pages and here they are.
My smallest palette, teeny tiny, a page or two for Poe, and Andrew Wyeth whose art I really admired early on. So had the chance to see up close and personal .. Went to the Norton Gallery in West Palm Beach, the date? Jan 25, 1996.. This book is about 31/2" square and I follow no rules, nothing is coordinated as in some journals of today. I'm not a scrapbook person, but when you don't see me around?  This is probably what I'm doing . Not finished yet, and it could go on for weeks, months, and years. LOL !

  1. BJ - love your art journal - I too had the priviledge of seeing Andrew Wyeth's work up close and personal - how awesome! Take care and have fun journaling.

  2. What a small format! I'd need a magnifying glass. Very cute little book though. My smallest W/C Moleskine is 5.5x3.5, so it's close. I do love my little collection of memories in it.

  3. Hi BJ. As you know, I love a sketchbook journal and this looks like it's going to be fabulous. So much ephemera and bits and bobs of inspiration, like a mini work of art! :)

  4. Absolutely exquisite, BJ! I really love these! If I knew how to make them, I'd make one with Ireland and one with Scotland as my inspirations. Sigh...

  5. Oh I just LOVE it! I really do! It must be so lovely to look through it - like it's all one work of art in its self. Beautiful :0)

Sherry, there are so many videos and google sites that show you how to do what you want.

  7. Your journaling is awesome! There must be so many treasures hidden within those pages. So nice to see you at my blog Barbara. The gallery owner where i paint said, "You paint like six people. Focus more". But i love to do different things, the villages, the animals, the people. The people now are my new love. I hope to do more like the waitress. I'm out about town with my camera always. Hope you are well Barbara. By for now.
