I NEEDED ~LIFE~!!! IN MY LIFE !

I'm  not sure I've EVER painted something like this... it was a copyright free photo I found, oh and I think it's Kale? and the photo was taken at the vegetable department of a grocery store..
I have no idea what it is, maybe the cabbage family... LOL! the painting is awful but the color gave me the life I needed today. !
Hey who knew veggies could be so lively !!   I'm dancing ! BJ

  2. Thanks Judy, it was the color that got to me.. I love soft grayed greens, but those hot pinks ( Holbeins Opera ) with it were talking to me. BJ

  4. I think this is beautiful! I thought this was copy of some gorgeous Victorian cabbage rose wallpaper. Maybe that is where the term "cabbage rose" came from? No matter...this is really lovely and I could so use this as wall paper if'n I had enough of it!

  5. I love those pinks and veggie greens, BJ. We get Kale over here in the UK, but I can't remember if I've ever eaten it. I googled it and it is indeed one of the Brassicas like cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, choy etc so, if you like your greens, give it a go :)

  10. Yes, that's ornamental cabbage! It's used quite a lot over here in (flower?) displays, often intermixed with a lovely cream and green variety.
The painting isn't as bad as you make it out to be - it gets the thumbs up from me :)
