I know a lot of us read about the Supermoon last night.. This is what it looked like just as it started to rise above the trees across the lake.. I know I've lived a lot of moons, and have seen many unusual ones. but I'd never seen this ..It looked like the sun coming up at night.. I watched it and in just a few minutes later it was very bright white.. !!!! Well, just shows how we can always see and learn something new! So much better than a painting. !
I want a replay !!! .

Nice shot, Barbra, too cloudy here to see it, just as well I would probably howl~ It will be back, although I might not be here to see it, eighteen years from now!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful photograph! Thanks so much for sharing with us who didn't see it!
ReplyDeleteI think it should still be pretty spectacular tonight. If you were in clouds last night, look again tonight. It seemed extraordinarily bright.
ReplyDeleteNo clouds here last night, thats why it was so beautiful!! Wish I could have gotten a closer shot, it was huge...!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI must be the only person on the planet that didn't know about this until I read this post. Great shot Barbra Joan.
ReplyDeleteAnd here I've missed the whole thing. I can't stay up that late... Good thing you have a video for me!
ReplyDeleteAs always, I am a day late and a dollar short. I'd not heard of a "super moon!" But that photo is gorgeous, BJ!
ReplyDeleteHi Barbra. Thank so much for stopping by my blog and for your very kind words and understanding. I had no idea a pet could mean so much.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the Supermoon with us. I had never heard of this before. So John you have some company in the "not knowing" dept.
smile! I love the shot. Very nicely done....
Many blessings Barbra. I pray you are basking in beauty.
Wasn't it amazing? It was huge and yellow early in the evening - The biggest I'd ever seen! I tried to take a photo but it didn't turn out at all well!
ReplyDeleteI have read in the paper that the last time it was so close was 150 years ago and that records show that there was an unusual number of natural disasters two weeks either side of that one too. They said that they think it might be the cause of the New Zealand and Japaneze earthquakes this time.
Let's hope there is no more to come!
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL PHOTO......
ReplyDeleteYOU ARE VERY LUCKY THAT YOU GOT TO SEE IT. JUST LOVELY.
RIZZI
It was really beautiful, wasn't it?
ReplyDeleteIt has all been said so I will simply agree with all of the above.
ReplyDeleteThanks once again Barbara for your encouraging words today. it was great to hear from you and to hear of your own experiences which does help ease the fear of not doing the right thing. It is amazing to me, the internet and blogging, how we make connections with people all around the globe. We have this is as a community of sorts. I have been inspired many times by your own story and the courage with which you face each day. I'm sure others would agree with me, and you are doing a good great thing here. We sometimes never know what sort of an impact we may make. For today i want you to know you have made an impact on me and my life is better for it. Many blessings, and I pray each moment is filled with peace and contentment. Ross
ReplyDeleteBarbra Joan, what an interesting view of the supermoon. We are having lots of clouds and rain, so I didn't get to see anything last night. It continues to pour this morning. I can enjoy your photo and know that it happened.
ReplyDeleteHope to see you soon in person!
