Re-Post !! I'm Happy !

Same painting as below,  and ever since I posted I knew something was missing.... I know I said I was almost happy... so I've added the darks in a few places ... you can definetly see where.. Now I feel better creatively and emotionally, and all your  posiive thoughts came through and helped me to do that...  Thanks a bunch. !!

  5. Wonderful! It is so amazing how making the darks really dark, somehow makes the lights sing out! I'm glad you are happy now! :0D

  6. Barbra Joan, it's amazing that we can give ourselves a little space by stepping away from a project for a while, then, take a more objective and cooler appraisal and come up with what ails a piece. How beautiful this peony piece is with the darks and the sparkling lights that resulted. The first was so-so, but this result is full of punch and vitality!
    And, Barbra, thanks for commenting on my blog and relating to my amazement of being able to create.
    The whole journey is amazing, isn't it? This amazement comes from this, I think: Things evolve into the finished product thru a series of implementations, build on each other, and the final has so many elements that to look back on the development causes one a lot of thought to work out the whole process in retrospect;
    ...and then just stand in AWE that one has the inherent ability or has acquired the skills to produce these works!
    A friend said, "Baffled", think that says it all, don't you?

  7. Yes!! A definite improvement. Pushing the darks is a major weakness of mine - doesn't it make a difference? Super painting.

  9. Which one is "Sophistication"? The woman with the fur? If so, that would give me the same sensation!

  10. You always capture that delicate beauty of the flower petals so magnificently! The darks do help too, though I think both incarnations are beautiful!

  12. Happy New Year, dear friend Barbra Joan! The changes you made are subtle but very successful. I'm with you -- painting as therapy seems to work for me. What a lovely way to work your way through difficult times. Beautiful!

    I look forward to a wonderful year of sharing our art with each other.

  14. Dear Barbra Joan: I have to learn how to put a translator in my blog! Meanwhile, what I said in my last post is:" Portray the reality is very good. But, sometimes, to carry another reality is a delightful experience. From the seeds of my imagination might rise fruits never seen before." I imagened and painted that flying seed you saw there, Hugs and kisses, Anamaria
